An exploration of four pieces by Helmut Lachenmann. The disc includes four television programs, originally broadcast in 2004 as part of the series Musica Viva : Forum der Gegenwartsmusik on station BR-alpha, featuring performances presented by Musica Viva in Munich. The television programs (ca. 15 min. each) include interviews with the composer and conductor. Also included is a full length performance film of each piece, recorded at the Lukaskirche in Munich on October 24, 2003. In the data section of this DVD you will find further information on Lachenmann, the interpreter and the DVD edition.
