ABOUT THE ARTIST

David Holmes

David Holmes lived every boy's dream. Having started out as a competitive gymnast, he was thrust into the Hollywood spotlight when he was selected as a child stuntman for the 1998 science fiction film. Lost in SpaceTwo years later, he landed the role of Daniel Radcliffe's stunt double in the saga. Harry PotterIn his journey through the Wizarding World, he battled dragons, explored underwater worlds, and racked up more broomstick miles than anyone else in the Wizarding World. In 2009, David's world changed when he fractured his C6 and C7 vertebrae in a terrible accident, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. It was during a period of intense and emotional reflection that David realized something crucial: he was not a victim, but a survivor.
Since then, David has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds through the cricket tournament. David Holmes Harry Potter Cricket Cup and is an ambassador for the Foundation Wings for Life and of Royal National Orthopedic Hospital of Stanmore. David also published articles in the newspaper. New York Times He has given speeches to members of the royal family, both at Buckingham Palace and St. James's Palace. He also produced a BAFTA-nominated documentary about his life, called David Holmes: The Boy Who LivedHe posed for a powerful photograph for which he stripped down and set himself on fire. David lives in Essex.
