Despite the huge success of The Police, tensions between the band members led to their breakup in 1984. Sting, however, quickly embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album The Dream of the Blue Turtles in 1985. The album included hits such as "If You Love Somebody Set Them Free," "Russians," and "Fortress Around Your Heart."
