Women'S Leadership In Marginal Religions

Marginal religions in US have been supportive of women taking leadership roles at least since the nineteenth century. This work explores what factors within the groups support women's religious leadership. It examines such religions as Shakerism, Pentecostalism, Spiritualism, Christian Science, the Theosophical movement, and others.
