Women Workers In The Soviet Inter-War Economy

This study examines changes in Soviet policy towards the labour protection of women workers from 1917 to 1941. In the 1920s emphasis was placed on the "protection" of female labour, but by the early 1930s, women were encouraged to play a more "equal" role in the production process.
