Tottenham

Tottenham has a documented history stretching back to the Conquest, when it was one of the manors of the Danish Earl, Waltheof, of Northumberland and Huntingdon. By the 15th century London was beginning to export its people to Tottenham, whose population of long-established peasant families was replaced by successful merchants and tradesmen.
