Ian Buruma

Ian Buruma (Haia, 1951) é um dos mais reputados intelectuais holandeses, filho de pai neerlandês e de mãe britânica. Estudou História e Literatura Chinesa na universidade de Leiden e, depois, Cultura Japonesa na universidade de Tóquio. Foi editor da Far Eastern Economic Review em Hong Kong e da New York Review of Books, em Nova Iorque bem como professor em Oxford, Washington e Nova Iorque. Publicou mais de vinte livros sobre o Japão, liberdade, teologia, história contemporânea.
