Frederick Forsyth

Frederick Forsyth has an action-packed life, similar to what happens in his books. At 19, he became the youngest pilot in the Royal Air Force, but later decided to pursue a career in journalism and joined Reuters, having lived in continental Europe for four years. In 1965, he began working for the BBC and was sent as a war correspondent to Biafra. In 1969, he wrote his first book. The Jackal, based on his experience as a Reuters reporter in France.
