ABOUT THE AUTHOR

John Kay

Edimburgo, Escócia, 1948. Após se ter formado em Economia na Universidade de Edimburgo mudou-se para a Universidade de Oxford, onde se manteve enquanto docente, publicando artigos em jornais académicos. Começou a interessar-se por economia popular aquando do convite para integrar um grupo que iria rever o sistema de impostos britânico. Em 1986 aceitou um cargo de consultor na London Economics. Foi director da Halifax, uma das maiores empresas financeiras da Europa e mais tarde tornou-se Professor of Mangement da Universidade de Oxford. Em 1997 foi eleito Fellow of the British Academy.
