Jason Mathews worked for 33 years in the CIA's Directorate of Operations (now known as the National Clandestine Service). He was stationed in various locations around the globe and specialized in missions in forbidden territories. He recruited spies to operate against targets in Russia, Asia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. He headed several CIA posts, commanded projects to detect weapons of mass destruction, and participated in counterterrorism operations.
He lives in Southern California with his wife, who is also a former CIA agent, where she worked for 34 years.
