All the stories in this anthology are based on actual historical events: the title story features three well-known personalities from Carnival 1930; a fictitious event on Columbus’s first voyage to the Caribbean is dramatised in “Duel in the Sun”; the Red House fire of 1903, is featured in “Run Eva Run” to name a few.
