The Black Patch War

The story of the Night Riders is an important episode in the history of the Kentucky Black Tobacco Belt. In an attempt to protect their most valuable money crop from the exploitation of capitalistic trusts, law-abiding farmers organised and resorted to the use of illegal force to prevent buying and selling except through their own agency.
