SYNOPSIS
The author associated with the design studio of Henry Cayatte, and the photographer Clara Azevedo, I intend to create a work of reference for locals and tourists visiting the town and on board the tram 28, a travel route with great historical significance in capital.
The idea is to produce a book with a contemporary design and bold, very well illustrated and with runs on versions in Portuguese and English.
(...) The author intends to broaden the dissemination of tourism's historical and cultural city, detailing each of the monuments that dot the route of the "28", dating from the twelfth century until the nineteenth century, as well as museums, theaters, viewpoints and the gardens are in the path of "28" and all relevant historical facts that took place at one point or another route, thus adding to some 2.500 years of history of Lisbon. Another objective is to convey the everyday experiences of the city and the cultural and social, for example, the traditional flea market and the feasts of St. Anthony, without forgetting to reference the cultural figures like the poet Fernando Pessoa, or even Queirosiana evocation of Lisbon.
The complete editorial content of the book will include a chapter with the history and technical details about the actual tram 28 as well as data about creating the Carris tram network at the beginning of last century and a history of the company itself . The finish also included a map of the route, the list of stops and even a list of all addresses, contacts and operating hours of monuments and sites mentioned in the text.
