Tenebrae

Much of this collection is a lovely bracelet of verse and prose poems that detail the illness and death of the author's wife. Others - including the snapshot portraits titled "The Irish in America" - build around themes of loss, growth, hope, despair and acceptance. These poems are plain but elegant and exquisitely crafted.
