ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Michael Jacobs

Michael Jacobs, born in Italy in 1952, is a travel writer and historian of English art. He has lived in the town of Frailes in Jaén since 1999. Currently, he is one of the most renowned Hispanics of his generation and has been called the "George Borrow" of the high-speed age. He is the author of travel and art books and, in addition, From Alhambra to Timbuktu, his first book in Spanish, published in Spain, Andalusia (Penguin Books, 1990), Between hopes and memories. Spanish trip (Picador, 1994) and The light factory (John Murray, 2003), dedicated to his life in Frailes. His last book focused on a journey through the Andes.
