ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Liana Millu

Liana Millu nasceu em Pisa, a 21 de Dezembro de 1914. Boa parte da sua vida de-correu depois em Génova onde viveu durante quarenta anos. Para além de escritora foi também jornalista, confe-rencista e professora. O Fumo de Birkenau, o seu livro mais conhecido, até agora inédito em Portugal, baseia-se na sua própria vivência em Auschwitz e foi escrito logo que regressou desse campo de extermínio. Faleceu com 90 anos, a 6 de Fevereiro de 2005.
