David Trueba

David Trueba nasceu em Madrid em 1969. Trabalhou para a imprensa, rádio e televisão, onde co-realizou El peor programa de la semana. Escreveu argumentos cinematográficos, entre os quais se incluem Amo tu cama rica, Los peores años de nuestra vida, Two much e La niña de tus ojos.
Estreou-se como realizador com La buena vida. Seguiram-se Obra maestra, Soldados de Salamina, Bienvenido a casa e La silla de Fernando. Vivir es fácil com los ojos cerrados (2013) valeu-lhe um dos famosos prémios Goya em 2014, na categoria de Melhor Guião Original. É autor das obras Saber perder (Alfaguara, 2009) e Aberto toda a noite (Alfaguara, 2012). Quatro amigos é o seu segundo romance.
