Juan Arias, correspondent in Brazil for the Spanish newspaper El PaísHe was born in the province of Andalusia, southern Spain. He studied philosophy, theology, psychology, Semitic languages, and journalism at the University of Rome, Italy, and for 14 years was a correspondent for El País in the Vatican.
