Michael White

Michael White foi músico profissional, professor de ciências, colunista, editor de ciência da revista GQ e consultor da série The Science of the Impossible, do canal Discovery.
É autor de mais de vinte e cinco obras, incluindo best-sellers internacionais como Stephen Hawking: Breve História do Génio, Leonardo: o Primeiro Cientista e Tolkien: Uma Biografia, já editados em Portugal.
Recebeu o Bookman Prize pelo livro científico mais popular de 1998, uma biografia de Isaac Newton, The Last Sorcerer. Em 2002, foi candidato finalista ao prestigiado Aventis Award com o livro Rivals e The Fruits of War esteve incluído na lista dos candidatos de 2006.
Membro honorário da Universidade de Curtin, no departamento de Investigação, vive na Austrália, com a mulher e os quatro filhos. Equinócio, o seu primeiro romance foi um bestseller internacional e, tal como O Segredo dos Médicis está publicado pela casa das letras.
