Ghost are a Swedish heavy metal band formed in Linköping in 2006. In 2018, Ghost released "Prequelle," introducing a new persona for the lead singer, Cardinal Copia. The album was inspired by themes of plague and death and included hits such as "Rats," "Dance Macabre" and "Faith." "Prequelle" was widely praised for its ambitious production and the band's ability to combine catchy melodies with a dark theme. The tour in support of the album, "A Pale Tour Named Death," was a success, standing out for its elaborate production and captivating performances.

Their fifth studio album, "Impera," was released in March 2022. Continuing the tradition of innovation and theatricality, "Impera" received critical acclaim and reinforced Ghost's reputation as one of the most exciting and unpredictable bands in modern metal.

The identity of the band members is one of the most intriguing elements of Ghost. Lead vocalist Tobias Forge came out publicly in 2017, although the other members, known as the "Nameless Ghouls," keep their identities a secret, adding to the band's mystique.
