Timothy Brook

Timothy Brook é professor titular da Cátedra Shaw de Chinês na Universidade de Oxford e Reitor do St. John’s College, na Universidade da British Columbia. É autor ou editor de mais de uma dúzia de livros, incluindo a obra premiada The Confusions of Pleasure: Trade and Culture in Ming China, traduzida em diversas línguas. É também o coordenador de uma série de seis volumes sobre a história da China, publicada pela Harvard University Press. Em 2005 recebeu a Medalha François-Xavier Garneau da Canadian Historical Association e em 2006 foi-lhe concedida uma Bolsa Guggenheim.
