ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Allan Kardec

Allan Kardec was born in France, on the 3rd of October 1804. For about 30 years dedicated entirely to teaching and becomes one of the great responsible for the progress of the education at that time.
After watching for the first time the phenomenon of talking tables or dance of the tables, decides to carry out an in-depth investigation into the hope to find a logical explanation for such a phenomenon.
For two years he questions directly the superior spirits, and they respond, making known the basic principles of the Spiritist Doctrine — this is how Spiritism is born.
In 1857 he published The Spirits' Book, The first of a series of works revealing of the Doctrine.
He died on March 31, 1869 and in the His tomb is inscribed with the phrase that better defines the perspective evolutionist of Spiritism: To be born, to die, to be born again, and always progress; this is the law!
