ABOUT THE AUTHOR

J. Krishnamurti

J. Krishnamurti (1895-1986) is considered by many – from writers and philosophers to scientists – one of the great thinkers of the twentieth century. At the age of 14, he was recognized as the next World Teacher, but he never claimed loyalty to any caste, nationality or religion, nor did he define himself as an authority or spiritual guide.
A philosopher and educator, he dedicated his life to drawing the attention of his listeners and readers to the urgency of an inner change as a means of creating a different society, stating that "Each one is, for himself, the master and the disciple". Education has always been one of his concerns. He founded schools in different parts of the world where children, young people and adults learn, together, to live a daily life based on understanding with the world and with other human beings. With more than 60 published works, he conducts essential research on the root of human problems: the human mind.
