From a new public dimension to new users. Globalisation and internet-supported networks seem to run counter to that retreat into the private sphere often diagnosed in the past. The New Public examines the consequences of the new forms of the public sphere with regard to the museum as an institution as well as to the reception of art and the impact on art production.
