ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Selma van de Perre

Selma van de Perre (nascida em 1922) foi membro do Grupo TD, uma organização da resistência holandesa, durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Sobreviveu ao campo de concentração de Ravensbrück, onde esteve prisioneira de julho de 1944 a abril de 1945.
Pouco depois de a guerra acabar, mudou-se para Londres onde trabalhou para a BBC e conheceu o futuro marido, o jornalista belga Hugo van de Perre.
Durante alguns anos trabalhou também como correspondente estrangeira de uma estação televisiva holandesa.
Em 1983, Selma van de Perre recebeu a Cruz Comemorativa da Resistência Holandesa.
Vive em Londres e tem um filho.
