Claude V. Palisca

Claude V. Palisca foi professor de Música na Universidade de Yale e presidente da American Musicological Society. Escreveu diversas obras no campo da música, entre as quais se destaca a Norton Anthology of Western Music (NAWM), uma colectânea das composições mais representativas de cada tendência, escola e género musical, concebida inicialmente como um complemento desta História da Música Ocidental e que, na última edição, passou a fazer dela parte integrante. Faleceu em Janeiro de 2001.
