É uma autora best-seller britânica. Estudou na Universidade de Cambridge, na Universidade de Sussex e na Clown School. Antes de se tornar escritora a tempo inteiro, em 2012, foi cantora de indie rock, atriz e compositora para cinema e televisão. Tem uma vasta experiência como formadora em diferentes vertentes da escrita criativa.
