Three remarkable Native women who lived in the southern Yukon Territory for nearly a century collaborated with an anthropologist to produce this unique kind of autobiography. Of Athapaskan and Tlingit ancestry, Angela Sidney, Kitty Smith and Annie Ned drew on oral tradition to structure their own life stories and to explain historical events.
