Hiding in the woods from the Soviets, escaping by sheer pluck from their takeover of Estonia, Imbi and her mother traveled during the last days of WW II through Poland and Germany, ending up in the U.S. as displaced persons. Imbi's courage and perseverance reminds us that the human spirit in the face of great odds can and will triumph.
