Galileu Galilei

Michael White was a professional musician, science teacher, columnist, science editor of GQ magazine, and consultant to the Discovery Channel series The Science of the Impossible.
He is the author of more than twenty-five works, including international bestsellers such as Stephen Hawking: A Brief History of Genius, Leonardo: the First Scientist and Tolkien: A Biography, already published in Portugal.
He received the Bookman Prize for the most popular scientific book of 1998, a biography of Isaac Newton, The Last Sorcerer. In 2002, he was a finalist candidate for the prestigious Aventis Award with the book Rivals and The Fruits of War was included in the 2006 list of candidates.
An honorary member of Curtin University, in the Research department, he lives in Australia, with his wife and four children. Equinócio, his first novel was an international bestseller and, like The Secret of the Medici, is published by Casa das Letras.
