Évora uma Vez...

Francisco Bilou (Évora, 1960) holds a degree in History, specializing in Cultural Heritage (1999), and a master's degree in Archaeology & Environment (2009) from the University of Évora. After a decade working in illustration and graphic design for the Évora City Council, he transitioned to a career as a senior technician in 1999, in the areas of Tourism, Heritage, and Culture.

He dedicates his free time to historical research, particularly on the topics of Roman hydraulics and 16th-century art history, which he combines with his work and initial professional training in illustration and artistic drawing. He is the author of several books and articles on local history and the promotion of Alentejo's cultural heritage, some of which are illustrated and intended for children and young adults.

He maintains regular collaborations with thematic and general interest magazines and a monthly column on Portuguese-Spanish historical heritage in the Extremadura magazine. Grade.
