The Arctic convoys which supplied Russia are the backdrop to a story of love and murder in the Scottish Highlands during World War 2. Researching the story brings Annie, smarting from her recent divorce, and David, a grieving widower, together. But events which echo the past combine to destroy new relationships and threaten the future.
