Colonial Archaeology In South Asia

This volume discusses larger issues relating to the practice and institutionalization of the discipline of archaeology under British rule and assesses the extent to which colonial intervention shaped the nascent discipline of archaeology in South Asia, especially with reference to the study of the past.
