Chico Xavier

One of the most prominent figures in 20th-century Brazilian culture, Chico Xavier was born in 1910 and, from the age of 5, saw and heard spirits, establishing a relationship with them that resulted in the publication of more than 450 books. This intense work was interrupted in 2002, the year of his death, and resulted in a collection of diverse literary genres, such as poems, short stories, chronicles, novels, and works of a scientific, philosophical, and religious nature.
With extraordinary literary quality, Chico Xavier's works are a genuine publishing success, having sold over 50 million copies.
Many of his books are bestsellers Undeniable, having inspired the production of films, plays, television programs and soap operas.
Possessing a kind personality, the medium Chico Xavier dedicated himself to helping those most in need. This work for the benefit of others earned him a nomination for the 1981 Nobel Peace Prize by more than 10 million people. In 2012, Francisco Cândido Xavier was elected "The Greatest Brazilian of All Time" at an event held by the Brazilian Television System (SBT).
