ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Victor Sebestyen

Víctor Sebestyen was born in Budapest and left Hungary with his family as refugees when he was a child. As a journalist, he worked for several British newspapers: Evening Standard, Daily Mail and The TimesShe was a correspondent in Eastern Europe during the collapse of Communism and the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. She reported on the war in the former Yugoslavia and the disintegration of the Soviet Union.
