ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Gerry Adams

Presidente do Sinn Fein, nasceu em Belfast, em 1949. Membro da Associação para os Direitos Civis da Irlanda do Norte (NICRA), participou na delegação do IRA que, em 1972, iniciou negociações secretas com o Governo britânico. Preso por várias vezes na década de setenta, foi companheiro de cela de Bobby Sands. Eleito para o Parlamento pelo distrito de Belfast em 1983, não pôde ocupar este lugar durante dez anos por lhe ser interdita a estadia na Grã-Bretanha. Protagonista incontestável do processo de reunificação da Irlanda, Gerry Adams é autor de uma série de obras políticas e literárias.
