ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Joshua Cohen

Joshua Cohen was born in 1980, in Atlantic City, and lives in New York. His books include the novels Moving Kings, Book of Numbers, Witz, A Heaven of Others and Cadenza for the Schneidermann Violin Concerto, the short fiction collection Four New Messages and the non-fiction collection Attention: Dispatches from a Land of Distraction. Hailed as "a great American writer" by The New York Times, "perhaps America's greatest living writer" by The Washington Post , and "an extraordinary prose designer, certainly one of the most prodigious in American fiction today" by The New Yorker, Cohen won the Matanel Prize for Jewish Writers of Israel in 2013, and in 2017 was named by Granta magazine as one of the Best Young American Novelists. The Netanyahu Family, his first novel published in Portugal, won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the 2021 National Jewish Book Prize, and was considered one of the best books of 2021 by several leading American publications, such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Kirkus.
