Tom Bowers' boyhood hopes prompted him to pray. Through physical trauma, depression, and family tragedy, he kept seeking God. In the process, he joined the Methodist Church, caught Yogananda's vision of meditation as a path to God, followed Reverend Moon who matched him by picture to his wife, and found fulfillment as a Latter-day Saint.
