Evadne Cavell has an embarrassing secret. She goes to dark theaters and let anonymous men fondle her in the dark. She believes her size and race makes her undesirable to men. All she wants is to live her life without being judged by society. Then she meets graphic artist Joshua Delaney who discovers her secret and uses it to change their lives.
