Its design includes the sophisticated HD rumble function, which provides a much more realistic vibration than before, and allows you to use one in each hand or share it with a friend; in addition to incorporating them into the Joy-Con controller grip (sold separately) which transforms them into a traditional controller. Each Joy-Con contains its own buttons, accelerometer sensor and motion sensor, allowing them to function as independent controllers.

Furthermore, the Joy-Con controllers integrate new features that make the Nintendo Switch more interactive. On one hand, the left Joy-Con has a button to capture images during games and share them via social media. The right Joy-Con, in turn, has an NFC point for using amiibo figures, as well as an infrared camera that detects distance, movement, shape, and the movement of nearby objects in games designed for this technology.
