Getting to know Porto from the Trindade Church – the largest in the city – is the proposal of Experience Trindade Porto.

Experience Trindade Porto offers the architectural ensemble of the Order of the Trinity, Church (classified as a monument of public interest), adjacent buildings and collection to make known the identity of Porto and its relationship with the universal context.

Created in Porto in 1755, the Third Order of the Trinity – heir to a long history dating back to the eleventh century, the time of the crusades and the constitution of the kingdom of Portugal, participated in the movement to transform the medieval city into a modern city, defining and consolidating a new centrality in Porto.

Experience Trindade - Porto has three levels of visit:

The "Church" circuit integrates a chronology of museographic characteristics that contextualizes the Order of the Trinity in a timeline from the eleventh century to the present day. This immersion in universal and local history precedes the visit to the largest Church in Porto.

The "Order" circuit includes a visit to the largest Church in Porto, the rooms of the adjoining eighteenth-century building, safe, staircases and noble hall, high choir and gallery of the Church. These spaces were adapted to exhibit the Order's collection according to museological criteria.

The "Full Experience" circuit includes a visit to the Church, all the spaces of the eighteenth-century adjoining building and also a visit to the bell tower and the terraces of the Church. On the route of the bell tower, more about the narrative of the captives and architectural details behind the scenes of the Church are revealed. It allows you to see the city from a hitherto unknown angle.
