Zygmunt Bauman

Zygmunt Bauman was born in Poland, but moved to England in 1971.
He is considered one of the great thinkers of modernity, having elaborated the concept of «liquidity», which would be taken up by essayists such as Umberto Eco in his posthumous book of essays.
He was Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the Universities of Leeds and Warsaw, responsible for a developing intellectual production that addresses the main contemporary themes.
His extensive work was mainly originally published in Great Britain, particularly widespread in countries such as France, the United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, Brazil and Japan.
