Zhang Jie

Zhang Jie nasceu em Pequim em 1937. Licenciada em Economia em 1960, foi funcionária pública até ser forçada ao desterro no campo, em 1969, em plena Revolução Cultural. Regressou a Pequim em 1972, onde ainda reside. É membro honorário da American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters, e em 1989 ganhou o Prémio Literário Internacional Malaparte. Além do português, as suas obras encontram-se traduzidas em inglês, francês, alemão, russo, dinamarquês, norueguês, sueco, finlandês, flamengo e italiano. Negros Anos prossegue a narrativa iniciada com Não Há Palavras, igualmente editado em Portugal pela Gradiva, embora ambos os romances possam ser lidos autonomamente.
