ZAINAB SALBI é fundadora e presidente da Women for Women International, uma organização não lucrativa que oferece às mulheres sobreviventes da guerra recursos para poderem passar da crise à estabilidade e a possibilidade de cada uma construir a sua paz. Possui graus académicos obtidos na George Mason University e na London School of Economics. É frequentemente entrevistada pelos meios de comunicação e tem aparecido várias vezes no Oprah Winfrey Show. Vive em Washington D.C.
