Wray Delaney é o alter ego de Sally Gardner, autora premiada de contos para crianças, oriunda de Birmingham. Estudou Arte na St. Martin’s Art School e trabalhou em teatro.
E, apesar de sofrer de dislexia, resolveu enveredar pela escrita, tendo sido tremendamente bem-sucedida na área da literatura infantil (vendeu já mais de 2 milhões de exemplares e as suas obras estão traduzidas para 22 línguas).
Memórias de uma Cortesã é a sua primeira incursão na ficção para adultos.
