Willa Cather

Willa Cather (1873-1947) was an acclaimed American writer. His novels explore life in the American West, immigration, and the rural experience. One of Ours, a novel about idealism, youth and the contrast between American and European cultures, which narrates the American participation in World War I, stands out in his body of work, having been awarded the Pulitzer Prize. Cather is considered one of the great literary voices of the twentieth century.
