Whitley Strieber
Whitley Strieber was born in San Antonio, Texas, in 1945. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and the London School of Film Technique.
He graduated from both in 1968. Then he worked at several advertising companies in New York, rising to the position of vice president before resigning in 1977 to become a freelance writer. Four films have been made based on his books, the most recent being... The Day The Day After Tomorrow, based on his novel Superstorm, who wrote in co-authorship with Art Bell.
Among his best-known novels are The Wolfen and Hunger, both adapted for the cinema.
