Engenheiro Conselheiro Eletrotécnico, Especialista em Luminotecnia (Ordem dos Engenheiros), Membro da Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), fundador e Ex- Presidente do CPI – Centro Português da Iluminação, Vogal da Comissão Executiva de Luminotecnia na O.E. Projetista de Iluminação desde 1970, o autor exerce atividade na firma Vítor Vajão – Atelier de Iluminação e Eletrotecnia, Lda. Além da atividade de projeto, tem exercido ações de formação no CPI, na Ordem dos Arquitetos e na Faculdade de Arquitetura de Lisboa. Coorientador e arguente de mestrados e doutoramentos em teses luminotécnicas na Faculdade de Arquitetura de Lisboa e na Universidade Lusófona. Ao longo da sua atividade profissional, tem publicado artigos em revistas técnicas e, entre outros, é coautor do Manual de Iluminação Sustentável do CPI.
