Vincent Cronin

Vincent Cronin (1924-2011), filho do romancista escocês A. J. Cronin, serviu como oficial do exército britânico durante a segunda guerra mundial e foi um decano da literatura inglesa.
O seu livro The Last Migration, vencedor do Heinemann Award, centra-se na viagem que realizou com os Gashgai do Irão do Sul.
Obteve parte da sua reputação com biografias sobre os primeiros missionários da cristandade na India (A Pearl to India: The Life of Roberto de Nobili) e na China (The Wise Man from the West: Matteo Ricci and his Mission to China), para além de uma serie de outras biografias posteriores - de Napoleão; de Catarina, a Grande; de Luís XVI e Antonieta.
