Victor Pelevin

Victor Pelevin, romancista e ensaísta, nasceu em Moscovo, em 1962, onde frequentou o Instituto Gorky de Literatura.
Foi colaborador das revistas The New York Times Magazine, Granta e Open City.
Estreou-se em 1992, com a publicação de um volume de contos, The Blue Lantern, vencedor do prémio russo Little Booker e, no mesmo ano, do romance, Omon Ra, finalista do Prémio Booker.
Desde então, Pelevin tornou-se uma referência da literatura internacional, sendo considerado um dos mais importantes autores surgidos no período pós-soviético.
A sua obra está traduzida em mais de 20 línguas.
